The original rear timber conservatory had reached the end of its life, making it uncomfortable to use during the changing seasons.  The clients wanted to replace it with an extension that retained a nod to a traditional pavilion style.  The subsequent design resulted in a zinc clad extension with a shallow pyramidal roof.  High performance glazing on the elevations and triangular rooflight maximises the light and views into the garden and creates a constant play of shadows within the dining space.

A new secret-door link was added from the rear reception room to the dining space, which allowed flexibility to keep both spaces independent.  The kitchen, utility room, powder room and front reception room were reconfigured and refurbished to a high standard.  The main external elevations of the property were also redecorated..

The next phase is the gardens, which are currently in development.
